Opened in 2015 the CoE is part of Morgan’s global network of specialised innovation centres delivering new material science. This dedicated facility brings together materials specialists and design engineers to accelerate innovation and deliver breakthrough solutions for global customers.

Our Centre of Excellence focuses on advanced digital twin technologies and process modelling to optimise manufacturing yield, quality, and consistency. We leverage AI and LLM-based image analysis for material characterisation and defect detection, while applying rigorous data analytics to extract actionable insights from historical material and process data to accelerate innovation and operational excellence.

The CoE is located at the Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire UK manufacturing site. The CoE is a global innovation hub and supports the global Technical Ceramics structural ceramics businesses.

Stourport is one of Morgan's largest ceramic materials manufacturing facilities. Its strategic importance, skilled workforce, and existing manufacturing capabilities make it the ideal location for collaboration.
