Metallising Screen Printing

Stage 1
Ceramic components are placed under a ‘patterned’ screen printing mesh

Stage 2
A ‘thick film’ metal ink is placed on top of the mesh

Stage 3
A squeegee is lowered onto the screen and pressure applied

Stage 4
The squeegee is moved across the screen, and once over the ‘open pattern’ it pushes the ink through the mesh and forms a layer of ink on the surface of the ceramic. The thickness of which is determined by the screen
