Melt-Spun Forming
Stage 1
Metal ingredients are added to the crucible and the kiln is heated until the materials are molten
Stage 2
The crucible has a ‘nozzle at the bottom’ above a cooled, very fast rotating spinning wheel
Stage 3
The nozzle is opened and the molten alloy pours onto the wheel where it is cooled very fast and forms a metal strip that is wound onto a spool
Stage 4
The process continues until all the molten material has been used up
