At Morgan Technical Ceramics we utilise proprietary forming processes to manufacture a range of precision glass tubing and rods. This high volume precision glass production combined with the skill and expertise of our engineers allows us to deliver cost effective, highly capable components to our customers.
Our precision glass products are used within a variety of applications across different market sectors. It is has been the creation and employment of two distinct proprietary manufacturing processes that has allowed us to produce glass tubing and rods within exacting tolerances in both small, medium and large volumes.
Our Processing Techniques Include:
Direct Draw – This enables us to carry out volume precision glass drawing in a variety of colours and compositions in accordance with client specifications.
Re-Draw – A process which provides custom drawn tubing from a variety of different compositions.
Our precision glass forming processes are used to form tubing and rods for use within an array of niche applications including but not limited to:
- Miniature fuse bodies
- Lenses for photo transistors
- Glass-to-metal seals in IC packages
- Glass lenses for EPROM devices (Erasable/Programmable Read Only Memory)
- Glass Lenses for ROM devices (Read Only Memory)
