Aluminium Silicate
This material, manufactured under the trade name Sillimantin 60 NG, is a porous Alumina Silicate which, due to its structure, remains porous even after high temperature firing.
Sillimantin 60 NG is most frequently used in furnace construction and for rollers used in Roller Hearth Furnaces, primarily within zones operating between 1100°C - 1300°C, where alternative materials often fail.
Typical Aluminium Silicate characteristics include:
- Excellent High Temperature capability
- Exceptional thermal shock resistance
- Low and very stable thermal expansion coefficient
- Hard and Durable, with excellent resistance to abrasion and chemical attack
- Can be precision formed into complex shapes that are not easily achieved with other materials
Typical Aluminium Silicate applications include:
- Thermal Insulation components
- Dicing support plates for wafer slicing
- Furnace fixtures for glass sealing
- Welding Nozzles
- Kiln Furniture
- Kiln structural components
