Morgan Technical Ceramics Announces its Transducer Assembly Capabilities

Jul 09, 2010

Morgan Technical Ceramics’ ElectroCeramics (MTC ElectroCeramics) business in Bedford, OH announces its large volume assembly capability for piezoelectric assemblies and transducers for requirements in the medical, aerospace, industrial, oceanographic, commercial, automotive and state-of-the-art research applications. MTC ElectroCeramics utilizes CNC machining and automated assembly equipment such as custom assembly fixturing, high speed pick and place, adhesives dispensers, high volume polarization, electrode application, auto calibration and serialized testing and data collection to meet its customers high volume requirements.

MTC ElectroCeramics has extensive piezoelectric material experience and an applications knowledge base of transducer design and construction from prototypes to high volume requirements. Clients are able to shorten lead times and expand their product capabilities by utilizing a single source for both a piezoelectric material provider and transducer manufacturer. This vertical integration of materials and device knowledge at one location gives MTC ElectroCeramics a unique position in the market.

“MTC ElectroCeramics has successfully provided large volumes of transducers to the industry for 30 years, all while the level of sophistication for these applications has increased,” says Gary Caprio, Business Unit Manager for Bedford, OH. “MTC ElectroCeramics has grown its technical capabilities to meet the challenges presented by its customers for the products of today and face the new developments of the future.”

Volume products manufactured include gyroscopes, ultrasonic surgical tools, dental descalers, audio enhancing prostheses, flow transducers, level transducers, ultrasonic cleaning transducers, vaporizers, fuel delivery, nano scale actuators, ink and fluid dispensing and sonar sub-assemblies. Deliveries can be set up for JIT, Kan Ban or other forms of scheduled delivery patterns based upon customer requirements.
