About MTC Auburn

Morgan Technical Ceramics, Auburn (MTC Auburn) is a leader in the manufacture of engineered ceramics. The Auburn site was founded in 1962, and most recently sold to renowned Morgan Crucible Company plc (2008), forming part of its Morgan Technical Ceramics Division.

Through our Morgan Technical Ceramics Business Improvement System program, we are focused on lean manufacturing and Six Sigma in order to improve all processes and drive costs down. Our "6S" Program (Safety, Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) is a methodology for creating and maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workplace. It helps improve product quality, reduce costs, provide faster change-over (set-up), improve on-time delivery, and improve the work environment - which in turn allows us to serve our customer's needs better.
