The Free MTC Interactive Presentation CD-ROM V2.2Free CD-ROM offers design engineers a guide to ceramic components manufacture and application

Morgan Technical Ceramics has produced a new Interactive Presentation CD-ROM designed to educate and inform design engineers and component specifiers about the many and varied uses of today's modern technical ceramic materials.

The informative CD Rom, which will be sent free of charge to qualifying designers and materials specialists, includes interactive presentations on opportunities for manufacturers in a wide range of industries such as aerospace, defence, automotive, medical, electronics, telecommunications, scientific equipment and semiconductor processing. It shows how and when ceramic can provide a cost-effective, high performance alternative to traditional materials such as metals and plastics.

Today's advanced ceramics offer powerful physical, thermal and electrical properties that make them highly resistant to melting, bending, stretching, corrosion, wear, high voltages and currents. The world leading range of materials highlighted in the new CD Rom from Morgan Technical Ceramics includes advanced ceramics such as Alumina, Zirconia, Silicon Carbide, Silicon Nitride and Titania - each with their own specific characteristics.

As Mike Thomas, Chief Technology Officer at Morgan Technical Ceramics explains: "There are two factors that designers should consider when choosing a material - the desired properties for the application and the available materials. By fully understanding the materials, designers can then make well-informed choices."

Morgan Technical Ceramics' impressive range of world-class manufacturing capabilities is also featured on the disc, from die pressing and injection moulding to sintering and chemical vapour deposition.

Morgan Technical Ceramics' Interactive Presentation runs on all Windows 98SE, 2000 and XP systems, and requires 128 MB of RAM space.
