MTC Wesgo: Delivering Components Fast
Wesgo (formerly Western Gold) was formed in San Francisco In 1927 and has been part of the Morgan Technical Ceramics group of businesses for 20 years, after being acquired in 1991. Today MTC Wesgo is based in Hayward, California and remains close to its roots in the San Francisco Bay.
Working predominantly with alumina of various grades, MTC Wesgo specialises in the development and production of precision engineered custom ceramic components for a wide range of industries and applications. As a fully integrated company they work through every stage of the product cycle, from raw materials through to production, testing and delivery.
As well as an intimate understanding of the characteristics and behavioural aspects of alumina ceramics, MTC Wesgo can boast extensive production capabilities in ISO certified facilities. Techniques commonly used by MTC Wesgo include dry pressing, isostatic pressing and slip casting, although metallization processes can also be carried out in-house.
These manufacturing capabilities are supported by a dedicated R&D team which have the materials knowledge and expertise to help clients find ceramic solutions and develop new products. In the past, MTC Wesgo engineers have helped develop and manufacture components for use within diverse applications such as night vision goggles, X-ray and wafer processing equipment and also flat panel displays.
MTC Wesgo can also provide exceptionally quick turnaround on projects. Whether it is producing a request for quotation in just 24 hours (based upon complexity) or delivering a prototype within a timescale of 4 weeks, (Wesgo even has its own truck for local deliveries!) speed to market is a constant consideration, although the performance and quality of the final product is never sacrificed.
For over 80 years MTC Wesgo has been producing ceramic components and is today committed to exceeding the expectations of a diverse worldwide client base
